TokSearch is a Chrome extension that lets you search your own saved/favorited TikTok videos. The short version: nothing you do in TokSearch leaves your device.
Nothing. TokSearch has no account, no server, no cloud, no analytics, and no tracking. The developer never receives, sees, or stores any of your data.
TokSearch builds a searchable index of your saved TikTok videos and stores it locally in your browser, using Chrome's storage.local on your own device. For each saved video this index may include: its TikTok URL, caption text, creator handle, thumbnail URL, the time you indexed it, and (where TikTok provides them) the video's own auto-generated captions (transcript text). It may also store on-device collection/tag choices (keyword rules and any manual retags you set) used only to organize your local library.

TokSearch never downloads video or audio files. It stores only the text and metadata needed to find a video again.
TokSearch communicates only with TikTok (tiktok.com), the site you already have open and are logged into, to read your saved-video list and, when available, a video's caption file. It makes no other network requests to any other server, including the developer's. There is no backend.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data, because we never have it. All processing is on-device.
TokSearch is a personal productivity tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
If you choose to leave an optional tip, the payment is handled entirely by PayPal under PayPal's own privacy policy. TokSearch does not receive or store your name, email, card, or any payment details, and tips are never required to use the extension.
The TokSearch extension collects nothing, and that never changes. Separately, our website has an optional feedback form. It only opens if you click it, and nothing is sent unless you submit it. When you submit, your message (and an optional email, if you want a reply) is sent directly to the maker, either to our feedback inbox or, as a fallback, through your own email client. It is used only to fix bugs and improve TokSearch. Don't include passwords, payment details, or anything sensitive. The form is never required to use TokSearch, and the extension itself is not involved in it.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the updated policy will be posted at this same URL.
